Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a package of Rs 1.70 lakh crore to help the poor
To help the economy and poor affected by Corona virus, the Central Government has announced a package of Rs 1.70 lakh crore.  Under the Garib Kalyan scheme, there will be direct cash transfer and people will be given food security.  He said the lockdown has been initiated on the night of 24-25.  The government is working to help the affected and the poor.  We have to reach them.  It has been only 36 hours.  We have brought the package, which will take care of the poor, who need immediate help.

 No poor will be allowed to starve under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.  At present 80 crore beneficiaries get 5 kg wheat or rice per person free every month, in addition to this, 5 kg per person will be given free wheat or rice for the next three months.  One kg of pulses per family will also be given.  According to the pulse area, the choice of the people will be given.

 Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Dhan Yojana, help will be provided to farmers, MNREGA, poor widows, poor pensioners and differently abled women, and women holding Jan Dhan account, beneficiary women of Ujjwala scheme, women from self-service groups and organized sector employees, construction workers.  .

 Farmers get 6 thousand rupees annually under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, we will give the first installment to the farmers in the first week of April.  Its 8.69 crore farmers will benefit from it.

 Those who work under MNREGA wages in rural areas, their daily wages have been increased from Rs 182 to Rs 2020.  An additional Rs 2,000 will be earned per laborer.  5 crore people will benefit from this.

 Poor elders, poor widows and poor persons with disabilities will be given an additional one thousand rupees in two installments over the next three months.  This will benefit 3 crore elderly, widowed women and disabled people.  It will go to their accounts through DBT.

 20 crore Jan Dhan account holders will continue to get Rs 500 per month for the next three months.  It will benefit 200 million women.  In three months, they will get a total assistance of Rs. 150.

 Under the Ujjwala scheme, cylinders have been given to poor women.  8 crore women are freed from the smoke.  In this difficult time, a free cylinder will be given to them for three months.  This will benefit 8.3 crore BPL families.

 Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made several announcements on Tuesday.  He had announced to extend the deadline for filing income tax returns, GST returns, Aadhaar-PAN linking, etc.  The income tax return date for the financial year 18-19 was extended to 30 June.  Late payment increased from 12% to 9%.  This relief is for those who are not able to do it till 30 March.

 The date of linking PAN with Aadhaar has also been extended and has been extended to 30 June 2020.  The deadline for the trust scheme has also been extended to 30 June 2020 by the dispute.  The Finance Minister said that there will be no additional charge of 10 per cent on the payment of the principal amount related to the tax dispute.  The GST filing date has also been extended to 30 June.  Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the last date for filing GST returns of March, April, May 2020 has been extended till June 2020.

 Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that CSR funds can now be given in works related to the corona virus.  This means that the funds from this fund will be used to deal with Corona Warriors.  For companies with a turnover of up to 5 crore, delay in filing GST returns will not attract penalty.  Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that there would be no charge for withdrawing cash from banks' ATMs for 3 months.
